Merry Christmas!

Just thought I would write you all a quick note wishing you all a Merry Christmas!  We are so blessed each and everyday... in health, joy, peace and I consider it such a blessing to be able to pour into these kids lives!  I know that I am not qualified "on my own" but through Christ we are all called to do something!!

I know that the holidays can be hard for all of you without your child, but as you all know by now we love them as you do and encourage them as a parent would..... it still is hard I know.  In saying that I would like to encourage you all to think of the "big picture" of your child's life.... they are all going to come out of this process hopefully a more kinder, sincere, and loving person.  You have added years and joy to their life by doing this and when it seems too hard....please just remember that God has got this!!  Our God knows your tears, your fears, and your desires for your child.... HE wants even better things for them than we can imagine.... because He loves them incredibly more than we do!!

I love the Christmas season because it brings everything "home" to me..... I have a Savior that sent His one and only Son to die on my behalf to take away my sin.... before I even knew Him.  WOW!! In all the wretchedness of myself and my past He first loved me.... sometimes I have a hard time wrapping my mind around that.

So I pray a special blessing over all of you who have a child in the program or are looking to place your child somewhere....

"Lord, I ask that you would give each parent peace and joy this season, that you would fill them with Your Love, and that they would know You even better today than they did yesterday.  I ask that you would grant them the desires of their heart and that they would find all that they need in You and only You.  I ask you bless each one today and give each one wisdom and joy in this process.  I pray they would trust You with their child and release them back to You so that their child can walk in the fullness that only You have for them.
We ask this in Jesus's Mighty Name!
Amen.... and amen!"

Happy Thanksgiving

I just want to wish everyone a very blessed Thanksgiving.... I feel like I am so blessed right now that truly "my cup runeth over".... almost makes my eyes leak when I think about it!!
As most of you are aware, the boys are in Ronan and I am still up at the ranch in Rexford!  I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of girls in January for our new girls program!!  We will be a small program housing between 4-8 and God has been blasting open doors left and right for this to happen!

Our boys are busy in school, getting fed at church and just basically being boys.... they just participated in a day trip to Camp Bighorn in Plains Montana where they did rope courses and learned things involving teamwork.... fun time was had by all except it was extremely cold out!

I pray that you all have a great holiday season and know that God has got all of your cares, concerns and tears in the palm of His Mighty Hands.....

This is a picture from the new facility in Ronan looking North East..... beautiful setting everywhere you look!

We are moved!!

Well, after much packing, planning and excitement.... we have finally moved our facility!! The boys are so excited to be where they are at now and it sure makes a big difference in their attitudes and outlook on life!  The view is pretty spectacular out our large front windows everyday....you cannot look at the mountains and even question the ability that God has in how HE creates!
The boys are currently all working on school and getting plugged into an amazing youth group in the area.... they love going out and doing street ministry with a team of YWAM (youth with a mission) staff. They now have available so many more opportunities for outreach, church youth activities and yes.... football.

These are just a few photos of the Mission Mountains that I thought you would all enjoy!
Of course, these were not taken by me!

Until next time..... be well and be blessed!!

Family Weekend/Boating pictures

I just found my pictures that I think all you parents will enjoy..... the boys loved this stuff!!
This was a great day on the lake, just down the road from our Facility on the West Kootenai.... just a hop, skip and a jump to get to the lake!

Summer is on it's way out!!

I can't believe I haven't blogged about anything since June..... wow, my sincerest apologies!!  THAT won't happen again!
Summer started off really slow here with hot weather never arriving until July... then it was a hot one for Montana!  The boys and Uncle Dan planted a HUGE garden at Grandma's house just down the road and the boys have maintained, weeded and been really proud of the success they have had.  A few of them really love watching things grow after all the hard work of planting and I think we have some future gardeners in the making!  It has great to see how proud they are that they actually eat what they had planted 3 months ago... what a great project it has been for our program.
The boys have done alot of camping, hiking and swimming this summer..... and also alot of bailing hay.  One day I think they picked up a couple hundred bales.  Some of the boys had extreme allergies this year so that was a bummer as they didn't get to join in on all that fun but they found other projects to keep them busy.
We had a great family weekend in July and I will post pictures of that next week..... one of the parents rented a ski boat and pulled the boys around on a wakeboard.... FUN!
Be well and be blessed..... until next time!

Family Weekend

We had a great weekend with the families that came this past weekend..... lots of laughing, reconnecting, and healing went on with boys and their families!  Thats what its all about..... God loves the family unit and we are so blessed to be a part of this process!

Just wanted to share a few picture of Glacier Park that we drove to and hiked in on Saturday.... I actually am "showing off" the beautiful country here in Montana....(you can tell I am a true-blue "native" of this state)and here below are a few reasons why they call this "GODS COUNTRY"

Photos compliment of one of the awesome moms.... Myra!

Summer is Here!!

Finally, after much snow and even more rain we have hit summer!! The boys have been camping, camping, and camping! The last trip they took was not too far from the facilities and involved alot of kayaking and water activities.

Right now we are gearing up for Family Weekend.... we always look forward to seeing the boys with their families and connecting with them again.  We are also really looking forward to our Father-Son campout the week of July 25-29th and know that there will surely be some "male bonding" (as I call it) going on!  If you haven't already emailed me that you are coming for this, please do so ASAP!!  We need to plan for all the food!

Hope this finds you all well and being blessed daily by our amazing God!
Until next time......
Lisa
PS.... I love this picture, it makes me think of the scripture in Matthew 18:20 it says " For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them"
